About the Festival

The San Francisco Greek Film Festival annually showcases the work of Greek and Cypriot filmmakers from around the world. The SFGFF accepts film submissions in all categories and has no entry fee. The audience votes for their favorites in the feature-length film and short film category: The Astron Award.

The SFGFF is sponsored by the Modern Greek Studies Foundation.

About the Logo

Our logo was designed by Elina. Elina is an architect-engineer. She works on architectural, interior, and graphic design-illustration, renovation and 3D visualization. She holds a diploma in Architectural Engineering from the Technical University of Crete.

The Modern Greek Studies Foundation supports the study of modern Greek language and culture in academic settings and presents public programs reflecting and celebrating the importance and beauty of Hellenic culture.
